II.  Kloster Rehna

When Hundrich speaks of „human beings,“ he refers to humanity as a whole, regardless of political, national, cultural, religious, or familial affiliations. His artistic perspective focuses on the universal aspects of being human that are common to all people, regardless of their origin, creed, or social background.

By disregarding individual identity and collective affiliation, Hundrich frees his art from any restrictions and barriers. He thereby creates works that can be timeless and relevant to people of all times and places.
His approach emphasizes the essence of being human and focuses on the fundamental emotions, experiences, and challenges that all people share. In doing so, he creates a connection between the viewers of his art and the common human experience.

Hundrich’s work can thus be understood as a universal message that resonates across cultures, nations, and generations. His installation shows shirts consisting of rescue blankets. Here, the golden side is turned outward, for attention, the silent call for help. The silver side, turned inward, so that one’s own body heat is not lost.
