1. Good morning world. 2024

 

Early morning, 1st. of January 2024, I stood on a large hill and looked down into a small valley, a steaming cup of coffee in my hand, light morning mist, the sun was rising… „Good morning“ I thought, 2 seconds later „Good morning world“. 2024  This is how this project began.

„A sheet of paper, a word, a thought, a photo, a drawing, a picture, a movement, a melody, a film – now, in this moment. Not one snapshot among many, but one that corresponds exactly to this moment.

I invite artists from all media, from Hong Kong to the west of the USA, from the south of Africa to the far north.

Good morning world.

…. You wake up, look out of the window, sit or walk along the street or somewhere, drink a cup of coffee, suddenly you lift your eyes and realise: Wow, I’m here and this is the world I’m in. It’s… like meeting a familiar person you haven’t seen for a long time, but who has always been by your side. That’s exactly what this project is about.

Good Morning World. 2024

until now I have received pictures from 30 artists from the world described, some works are still on their way. The works I have received so far are wonderful and touch me deep. Especially when I think of some of the texts I received with these pictures, films and photos. So impressive that I would like to add the texts to the exhibition of artworks.   ly.

The first exhibition of this project will take place in my studio in Mecklenburg, in summer  13 th. of July 2024 / 3pm

• I am also planning a „Good Morning World.“ 2024 project presentation in autumn this year, embedded in the „Kunst Heute“ programme of the Künstlerbund Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
• Another good news – in the last few days I have had several conversations with Annaluise Klafs, the cultural officer of the (the Northern Church is an association of the churches of Northern Germany, Hamburg, Schleswig-Holstein and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania). The Nordkirche is planning an exhibition cycle in the churches of northern Germany for 2025. The „Good Morning World.“  project will have the honour to open this exhibition cycle, realized by the Nordkirche.
